This means you ratio is below 0.65 after downloading 10GB of data.
This warning will last 2 weeks even if you ratio goes above 0.65 in this time is to give you time to get you ratio a high as you can. If you do not increase your ratio above 0.65 in this time you will receive another warning this will continue till 5 warnings and you will be banned from the site. |

| We don't usually rename accounts. However, if you have a valid reason for the change (eg: Numbers instead of your choice of username), an exception is possible. |

| No. To be fair to all, we operate a policy of 'one person, one account'. Any duplicate accounts will be removed and offenders therefore risk losing all their Footy Torrent accounts. |
| Sorry, no. We don't provide a function for users to park their accounts whilst away however if you're a VIP, Super VIP you will not be deleted. If you're a Member, Power or Extreme member and fail to login to your account for 150 days or more then it'll could be deleted. However this is not automatic and is done when there is a need for it. |
| No. Once an account is deleted (for any reason) all the statistics are gone forever. There's no way for us to restore your old account details so please don't ask for credit. |
| You can use seed bonus points to get a custom title. |
| This gives members one point a hour for seeding a torrent but you will only receive one point per hour no matter how many torrents you are seeding. This seed bonus can be using to buy GB for you account or a custom title. |
| This means you will have to wait till the first day of the next month before you can crash is any more seed bonus however you can still get a custom title. |
| Some parts of the sites are not live so in some places the seed bonus might not appear to be going up when it really is. If it hasn't moved after a few hours make sure the tracker is seeing you as a seeder. Click here to check. Once you are sure please post in the forum here that its stopped and a moderator will try to help you. |
With regard to the .torrent files themselves, we are a private community with a limited membership. Only registered users can use the Footy Torrents tracker. Posting our .torrent files on other sites or p2p systems will only cause issues for you, as anyone who downloads using that torrent file will be effectively leeching from your account, so you'll see your score plummet very quickly. Also, you will be liable to receive a warning / have your account deleted under our 'one member, one account' rule.
Check with uploader/capper - as it says, should you wish to upload games elsewhere please seek permission from the uploader/capper by sending a PM.
Please respect the redistribution wishes of the original capper. If you do not, and are caught uploading a Footy Torrent files without permission, your Footy Torrent account will be immediately disabled, without a warning. (And using a different "username" will not stop you getting caught).

Most common reason for stats not updating
* The server is overloaded and unresponsive. Just try to keep the session open until the server responds again. (Flooding the server with consecutive manual updates is not recommended.)
* You are using a faulty client. If you want to use an experimental or CVS version you do it at your own risk. |

The tracker has determined that you are firewalled or NATed and cannot accept incoming connections.
This means that other peers in the swarm will be unable to connect to you, only you to them. Even worse, if two peers are both in this state they will not be able to connect to each other to share data at all. This obviously has a detrimental effect on the overall speed or uploads and downloads.
The way to solve the problem involves opening the ports used for incoming connections (the same range you defined in your client) on the firewall and/or configuring your NAT server to use a basic form of NAT for that range instead of NAPT (the actual process differs widely between different router models - check your router documentation and/or the support forum - you will also find lots of information on the subject at PortForward). |
A PID is a 32 character key associated with your account that uniquely identifies you as a Footy Torrent member. When a .torrent file is downloaded from your account, the key is automatically encapsulated into an announce URL added to the .torrent file.
Make sure that you keep your PID and .torrent files private at all times. |
There are a few reasons for this:
(1) The torrent may have broken a upload rule.
(2) The uploader may have deleted it because it was a bad release. A replacement will probably be uploaded to take its place.

Open the .torrent file. When your client asks you for a location,
choose the location of the existing file(s) and it will resume/reseed the torrent.

| The download speed mostly depends on the seeder-to-leecher ratio. Poor download speed is mainly a problem with new and very popular torrents where the SLR is low. |
| The more pieces you have, the harder it becomes to find peers who has pieces you are missing. That's why downloads sometimes slows down or even stalls when there are just a few percent remaining. Just be patient and you will, sooner or later, get the remaining pieces. Sometimes we have come across corrupted torrents that never complete check the torrent comments on the the torrent detail page for information on what's wrong. |
Bittorrent clients check the data they receive for integrity. When a piece fails this check it is automatically re-downloaded. Occasional hash fails are a common occurrence, and you shouldn't worry.
Some clients have an (advanced) option/preference to 'kick/ban clients that send you bad data' or similar. It should be turned on, since it makes sure that if a peer repeatedly sends you pieces that fail the hash check it will be ignored in the future. |
| See the 'hash check' question. If your client receives bad data it will have to discard it and download it again; therefore the total downloaded may be larger than the torrent size. Make sure the "kick/ban" option is turned on in your bittorrent client to minimize the extra downloads. |
